Terms of Service

Last updated July 2026

TODO: have a lawyer review before launch. This is a plain-language template covering the obvious ground for a web design and hosting business. It is not legal advice and has not been reviewed by a solicitor or attorney. Get it checked against the law where the business actually operates before taking real money.

1. Who we are

These terms cover services provided by Nahalio Studio(“we”, “us”) to you (“the client”). By purchasing a package you agree to them.

2. What you are buying

Each package is a one-time build fee plus a required monthly hosting subscription. The build fee covers designing and building your website to the scope of the package you chose. The monthly fee covers hosting, SSL, backups, security updates, uptime monitoring, and up to one hour of content edits per month.

3. Scope and revisions

The page counts and features listed for your package define the scope. Work beyond that scope — extra pages, new features, a redesign after approval — is quoted separately before we start it. We will not do additional billable work without telling you first.

4. What we need from you

Projects depend on you supplying content, feedback, and approvals in reasonable time. If a project stalls on our side we will tell you; if it stalls on yours for more than 60 days we may pause it, and restarting may require rescheduling.

5. Ownership

Once the build fee is paid in full, you own the design, content, and copy of your site. We retain ownership of any underlying tooling, frameworks, and components we reuse across clients. You keep ownership of anything you supply to us.

6. Billing and cancellation

Hosting is billed monthly in advance and starts at purchase. You can cancel at any time through the billing portal; hosting continues until the end of the period you have already paid for and is not prorated. The build fee is not refundable once design work has started. If a payment fails, we will contact you before anything is taken offline.

7. If you leave

On cancellation we will provide an export of your site files and content so you can host it elsewhere. We will keep that export available for 30 days after the hosting period ends.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use hosting we provide for unlawful content, malware, spam, or anything that puts our infrastructure or other clients at risk. We may suspend a site that does, and will tell you why.

9. Uptime and liability

We work to keep sites online and monitored, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to these services is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects an active client, we will give notice by email before it takes effect.
